For HR & People Leaders
Professional Development Workshops for Women Navigating Perimenopause and Menopause at Work
thePause delivers perimenopause and menopause workshops and keynotes for HR teams, ERGs, and leadership groups, virtually and in person across the United States and Canada. Every session is led by two speakers who have stood on the TEDx Boston and CES stages: Dr. Mia Chorney, DNP, FNP-BC, MSCP, a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner, and Susan Sly, MIT-trained AI founder and CTO Magazine Top 7 Female AI Thought Leader for 2026. Employees leave knowing what is happening in their bodies; leaders leave with the tools to support, retain, and get ahead of the workplace legislation now moving through Congress and the states.
Women in your workforce are navigating perimenopause or menopause right now.
Menopause symptoms cost U.S. employers an estimated $1.8 billion a year in lost productivity, yet 64% of working women say their employer offers no formal support. Our perimenopause and menopause workshops close that gap — strengthening engagement, retention, and wellbeing while preparing your organization for the workplace protections now moving through state legislatures.
Why now
Why Employers Are Booking Menopause Workshops in 2026
Rhode Island became the first state to require menopause accommodations in 2025. Philadelphia’s workplace-bias ordinance covers perimenopause and menopause from January 1, 2027. Virginia, California, Illinois, New York, and New Jersey have bills in motion, and the federal Menopausal Workers’ Fairness Act, introduced in July 2026, would extend Pregnant Workers Fairness Act–style accommodations to menopause for employers with 15 or more employees. Only 10% of employers currently provide any menopause accommodation (NFP 2026 U.S. Leave Management Report). The employers who train their people now will not be scrambling later.
Legislation is moving quickly; this page was last reviewed in October 2026. For individual symptom tracking, employees can explore Harmoni® by thePause® and our perimenopause and menopause guides.

FAQ
Menopause Workshop and Keynote FAQs for Employers
What is a menopause workshop for employers?
A facilitated training session that teaches employees what perimenopause and menopause are, how symptoms affect work, and how colleagues and managers can support them. thePause sessions are delivered by a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner and an MIT-trained AI founder, virtually or on site.
Do these workshops count as professional development?
Yes. Both formats are structured with learning objectives, handouts, and Q&A, and can be logged as professional development or wellness training hours under most corporate learning and development programs.
Is menopause a protected condition in the workplace?
It depends on the jurisdiction. Rhode Island requires menopause accommodations; Philadelphia will from January 1, 2027; more than a dozen states have bills in motion, and the federal Menopausal Workers’ Fairness Act (H.R. 9671) was introduced in July 2026. In every state, menopause symptoms may already fall under existing disability, sex, or age discrimination protections. Training is the first step most employment counsel recommend.
How much does a menopause-in-the-workplace workshop cost?
Our 60-minute virtual workshop is $2,500 USD. Our 90-minute in-person leadership workshop is $15,000 USD plus travel. Keynotes start at $15,000 USD for a solo speaker in the United States, plus travel; dual-speaker and international keynotes are quoted by format and audience size. Pricing is public because HR should not have to guess.
Do you offer keynotes as well as workshops?
Yes. Susan Sly and Dr. Mia Chorney deliver 30-, 45-, and 60-minute keynotes, together or solo, for HR conferences, ERG summits, women’s leadership programs, and executive events. Both have spoken at CES and TEDx Boston. Request a keynote quote through the booking form.
Who should attend, women only?
No. The virtual session is designed for all employees; menopause affects teams, not just the women experiencing it. The in-person session is built for managers, executives, and HR professionals of any gender.
How many people can attend?
Virtual sessions scale to your platform’s limit. In-person sessions work best with 20 to 150 participants; larger groups and conference audiences are quoted individually.
Do you tailor the content to our industry or policies?
Yes. Every booking includes a pre-session call with HR so examples, accommodations, and Q&A reflect your workforce and any state law you operate under.
Can the virtual workshop be recorded for employees who cannot attend live?
Yes. An internal-use recording can be added to any virtual workshop or keynote. Tell us when you book and we will include it in your quote.
Do you deliver outside the United States?
Virtual sessions are delivered anywhere. In-person workshops and keynotes are available across the United States and Canada, with travel quoted separately.
What makes thePause different from other menopause training providers?
Two speakers, two halves of the conversation: a board-certified menopause clinician who explains the science, and an AI founder who built Harmoni®, the perimenopause tracking app, and speaks to mindset, self-advocacy, and data. Content is updated against current legislation, pricing is public, and employees can continue the work in the app after the session.
